Thank You and God Bless You!!!

In two days, Word Servant will have been up and running for one calendar year. In that time frame God has allowed 4,042 visits! He has allowed 370 views from Israel, 162 views from Hong Kong and 183 views from China. I scratch my head and wonder how some of you found Word Servant, whether you are using Google translate to read it or if English is a second language. I wonder what life is like for you in the Ukraine, Germany and China? What your spiritual lives are like? Are you allowed to worship God openly? Is the church state-run or separate from the government of your country? Do you have access to a Bible or is religion controlled and the internet monitored in such a way that you only get verses of the Bible from websites like Word Servant? Is it better to put the verse at the top of the blog, or can you follow the links that I provide to the Bible verses?

When I look at the analytics of the blog, it is humbling. God has used it to take verses and thoughts about the Bible to Asia, Europe, and the Middle East—all from the relative comfort of where I live. I may not be able to get a passport and I may not ever be able to meet some of you who have read this blog—but I thank God for the opportunity to serve Him by writing and sharing the Scripture in this way. It is an honor to be able to share the Word of God with you and provide what little understanding I have with you so that He may enrich your lives.

I want to take this One Calendar Year moment to share three things with each of you:

First, I am not the smartest person in any room, nor do I have all the answers. All I know for sure is that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, so that those of us who will believe in Him and profess Him as Christ will be saved and then when He has opened our eyes so that we truly understand what He has done for us, we will begin to model our lives, our behavior and our thoughts after His example.

Second, we are called according to His purpose. It does not matter where you are from, where you have been, what you have done—if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are freed of your past, you are forgiven and He loves you with the most pure love that only a pure and righteous God can. We are no longer to live selfishly as we once did, we are to live exalting God and glorifying Him wherever we are. We are to share our faith with those whom we come in contact with because their salvation depends on hearing the Gospel and then the Holy Spirit doing what only the Holy Spirit can in their hearts once the Gospel is made known to them.

Third, what better place than here, what better time than now? The only way to partake in the truth of God is for God to reveal it to us through hearing the Gospel, receiving the Word of God, reading the Word of God and then becoming doers of the Word! As soon as we have been welcomed into God’s Family through the Atoning Blood of Jesus Christ and the Indwelling Holy Spirit fills us so that we are new creatures, we are commanded to make disciples, to teach others to follow Jesus Christ’s commands and to baptize those who profess Christ in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

So, have you heard the Gospel? Do you know that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, down to earth in the flesh, so that living a perfect life, Jesus could pay for our sins by being crucified, dying and then resurrecting on the third day? Do you know that Jesus Christ paid the ultimate penalty for our sins so that we may be restored to God and pardoned for all we have done wrong? Do you know that Jesus did that for us in the hope that we would choose to have a relationship with God, to know Him and to glorify Him as He so rightly deserves? Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior and have you made Him the Lord over your life? If you have not, what better place than here, what better time than now?

All you have to do is pray to God to forgive you of your sins, tell Him that you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and ask Him to open up your heart and mind to His truth! Then start seeking Him out in the Scriptures. Study the Word to show yourselves approved and be doers of the Word not just those who pay lip service. To paraphrase my pastor, be practicing followers of Christ, not merely those who profess to be Christian but still live according to the selfishness of the flesh!

Lastly, thank you for reading Word Servant. I pray that God uses it to glorify Him, point to Him and bring those I could never reach face to face with Him in a way that I never could do on my own. This blog goes to show that any of us can share the Word and the Gospel, regardless of the who, what, where,  when or how. All we have to worry about is WHY, and that is because God tasked us with the Great Commission and we should desire to reach those who do not know the Love of our Lord!!
